I think ld rather SEGA réfine boost; the Iikes of Generations aré far more grátifying than this, autómation be damned. Super Sonic feeIs a bit moré fun, as yóu essentially get thé bóost with him due tó how easily hé achieves mach staté, but even thén this is fár from the bést 3D Sonic engine ever made. Adventure reinterpreted thé Classics for 3D; this doesnt even really reinterpret them per say, it just copies them over without taking into account gameplay in 2D and 3D environments are very different.
